She is a member of ACOG, AMA, and NAMS. She has practiced in a variety of states including Louisiana, Florida, Maryland, DC, New Mexico, Texas, and Nevada. She received her MD from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and completed residency training in Washington, DC at the Georgetown/MedStar Washington Hospital Center residency program. She has been working primarily as an OB/Gyn generalist as well as continuing her advocacy efforts in all aspects of women’s health for the past 12 years. She currently resides in Texas with her husband, two beautiful kids and pound puppy.
